…my cuddly toy. His name is Icebat. It’s a bat and he loves traveling.
Since when do you have your “one thing” and where did you get it from?
A friend brought it back from the USA as a gift in 2010. Her name is Carmen. She was originally a work colleague of mine and we became friends.
At the time, I was in the process of breaking up with my first boyfriend of 12 years. Carmen not only let me live with her for a few months, but also gave me Icebat, who became emotionally very important to me.
What does it mean to you?
Icebat is a kind of representation of my childish side and therefore my inner child. I look at him and immediately feel in a good mood. Look at him. His smile is so funny. He loves traveling and has become my travel buddy, especially since I have been traveling full-time since 2021. He always asks me: Where are we going next, Jasmin? I then tell him to calm down because I love staying in places for as long as possible.
How often do you use it?
He is always there when I go to bed and when I wake up. I actually cuddle with him even though he’s so little. I bring him with me everywhere I go. If he is not around, I miss him.

I’m Jasmin from Hanover in Germany. At the moment I’m a full-time traveler. I am an activist and artist. I founded the project “the one thing” in 2017.
