The one thing you don’t want to live without is..?
my circular saw.
Since when do you have your “one thing” and where did you get it from?
I bought it from my former collegue at the carpentry in which we both trained as a carpenter.
What does it mean to you?
My circular saw is the most important part of my carpentry equipment which I gathered during my apprenticeship and my travels. It consists of several tools which I used for working on many smaller and bigger building sites. For me, the circular saw means independance. I can take it anywhere and create grea things with it, such as roof terasces, bunk beds, staircases, traditional half-timbering or right now a small shed.
How often do you use it?
Although I don’t work as a full-time carpenter anymore, I still use my circular saw regularly for building sites at my friends or at home. There are time when I don’t use it for several months and times where I use it quite often.
What is your name? Where do you live? What is your profession?
My name is Janika and I live in Hanover. I work at the cultural office of the city of Hanover. I’m in charge of the field international culture.
